Girls Run The World.  Female CEOs became the winners of the Startup Battles in San Francisco and Los Angeles!

Startup.Network, a worldwide professional network for venture capital market participants, conducted two Startup Battles in San Francisco and Los Angeles this May.

At the Battle, promising Startups competed for the attention of Venture Funds Members and Angels invited to be Judges as well as a great number of guests.

The winner of the 144th Startup Battle in San Francisco became Third Opinion Care. It’s AI-powered online monitoring for bedridden patients.

Anna Mesheryakova , CEO at Third Opinion Care share her experience pitching at the Battle: “Thank you for organizing the event and audience for supporting and communicating during my pitch. They asked a lot of professional questions what gave me good ideas for updating my Startup.”

The Startup Battle in San Francisco connected 10 perspective Startups with 32 Venture Funds Members and Angels invited to become Judges at the event and more than 120 Guests from Venture Community.

One of the Judges, Vasily Nikolaev, Venture Partner at Network.VC; Partner at Quantum Wave Fund, commented on the Battle. “It’s a great source of pipeline as an investor. Thanks for inviting such good Startups. I’ll definitely talk to several of them today.”

The winner of the 145th Startup Battle in Los Angeles became NearSight, a mobile solution to replace old fashioned reading glasses.

Elise Brisco, Owner of the NearSight mentioned “Thank you again for inviting us to participate in your 145th Startup Battle. We are so appreciative of the opportunity to present NearSight to investors and the start-up community. Having the well-versed and talented group of judges vote for us to be in first place is really a large affirmation of NearSight. We already have meetings with several investors we met at the event. winners of your 145th battle, and especially as a fellow female entrepreneur.”

Despite Pitch Competition, the Startup Battles are valuable for its Panel Discussions. This time experienced Venture Community Member, Mark Hamade became the Moderator of the Panel Discussion at both events.

Speakers answered to the questions of the following topic “How to structure your startup to get investors excited”. The Speakers observed the questions about key facts what force investors to invest in startups as well as common errors what can grave startup. What is more, our Guests and Entrepreneurs had an opportunity to listen to a couple of advice and admonition from each of our Speakers.
