In Six Months Since Launch, TRON Reaches One Million User Accounts

Blockchain protocol TRON (TRX) has passed a million user accounts, data revealed Dec. 23, as executives continue their criticism of rival Ethereum (ETH).

Statistics from the TRON blockchain uploaded to social media by Misha Lederman, cofounder of the cryptocurrency’s by-product project IAmDecentralized.org, confirmed that the network currently features over a million addresses.

TRON, that launched its mainnet earlier this year, seeks to become the go-to system for developers seeking to make decentralised applications (DApps).

Known for publically chiding Ethereum, that constitutes TRON’s main rival, chief executive officer Justin Sun this week foretold a “slow implosion” for the altcoin.

Commenting on the address landmark, Lederman urged that the speed at which activity exaggerated is additionally considerably more than that of ETH.

“In comparison, (Ethereum) reached one million accounts on Jan 22, in 542 days or eighteen months since (the Ethereum) Mainnet Launch,” he wrote.

Responses highlighted the actual fact that Ethereum had built its user base once cryptocurrency interest was marginal compared with current conditions.

Others added that despite the expansion, TRX’s $0.02 price tag paled as compared to ETH/USD, that even once a 90 % decline the from all-time high, maintained a worth of around $73.

TRX had shown robust daily growth in the week before a correction across cryptocurrency markets saw the token lose 15 % within the 24 hours to press time. ETH dropped 12.6 % within the same period.
