Justice Joel Cohen of the new york Supreme Court has granted the Bitfinex cryptocurrency exchange’s motion to change an injunction from the new york attorney General (NYAG), Bitfinex declared on May 16.

Per the announcement, the judicial writ will enable Bitfinex and related stablecoin operator Tether to continue their traditional business. It conjointly states that the initial injunction by the NYAG can expire in 90 days which any motion to renew are the responsibility of the NYAG. Cohen wrote in his decision:

The NYAG originally alleged that Bitfinex lost $850 million and so used funds from Tether to secretly cover the inadequacy. Bitfinex later on responded to the allegations, stating that they were “filled with inaccuracies and false assertions.”
