$5 Million Grant to Parity Technologies Announced by Ethereum Foundation

The Ethereum Foundation has declared a $5 million grant to United Kingdom-based company Parity Technologies, as per a post on the official Ethereum (ETH) web log published January. 7.

According to the post, the grant is for measurability, usability and security work. Namely, this cash “will fund Parity’s work on Casper, sharding, light purchasers, developer tools, QA, audits and infrastructure enhancements.”

Furthermore, the post explains that funding is delivered in “several tranches, the primary of that supports development that Parity has already completed.” the other components of funding will be every handed over upon the completion of assembly standard eWasm compatibility work, a light wallet for the mainnet and therefore the successful completion of phase zero and phase one of sharding.

Parity is understood for having developed one amongst the foremost well-known Ethereum clients.

As Top Market Group reported in Nov 2017, a user of Ethereum’s Parity multisignature wallet allegedly accidentally rendered $280 million in ETH unaccessible using a vulnerability contained in the underlying smart contracts.

In April last year, once the funds were worth $360 million, a week-long vote in regards to the reversal of this incident resulted in 55 of the participants’ selection against, leading to the funds left where they're.

In October, Parity demoed a live blockchain launch in just fifteen minutes on a spanking new mac, that the Parity founder reportedly tore out of its shrink wrapping as a part of the demonstration in a bid to spotlight the speed of the whole process of the platform launch.
