Responsibilities
Execute the monthly close process, including preparation of journal entries, account analyses, and reconciliation of balance sheet accounts
Responsible for the amortization of intangible assets and depreciation of fixed assets
Responsible for the reconciling prepaid and accrual accounts
Assist in the preparation of quarterly audit binders and related schedules for all entities
Perform intercompany accounting including reconciling intercompany billing and receivables between all entities and ensure elimination of intercompany accounts
Maintaining the department codes and chart of accounts
Work with Treasury and other departments to ensure proper accounting treatments of complex structures within the company
Coach and mentor the accounts payable personnel
Assist in the implementation of a new accounting/ERP system
Assist in the implementation of internal controls and accounting processes and procedures
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or Economics
CPA in good standing
5+ years of prior accounting experience
Experience working at public companies
Industry experience in financial services, fintech, banking, or exchange strongly preferred
Experience with accounting for complex business entities especially a parent organization with multiple subsidiaries
Knowledge of GAAP and IFRS required
Collaborative, innovative, flexible, and adept at building relationships across the organization
Experience working with multiple projects and deliverables in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
Excellent presentation skills, including strong oral and writing capabilities
Expert knowledge of Microsoft Excel functions including macros, pivot tables, H & V-Lookup
Google and Microsoft suite proficiency required
Big 4 or audit background preferred
Experience with SAP or Oracle ERP is a plus
Familiarity with SOX is a plus
