We are hiring a Performance Marketing Manager to own the top-of-funnel acquisition strategy for the Crunchbase platform and our subscription offerings. The Performance Marketing Manager will manage vendors and know the basics of how to execute campaigns in ad platforms. They will understand how to allocate budget, execute campaigns, measure outcomes and iterate quickly.  This is a cross-functional role involving close partnerships with our design, sales, and product teams.

The Crunchbase Marketing team is responsible for both product and corporate marketing initiatives, including lead generation, creating exceptional content, and driving engagement with our community of users.

As a Crunchbase Performance Marketing Manager, you will:

•  Contribute to the acquisition and growth targets for the marketing team and regularly rebasing budget and acquisition targets quarterly

•  Review results, best practices, messaging, and strategic approach with Head of Marketing and analytics

•  Leverage customer insights learnings, and think creatively about how to segment, target and reach potential customers and ensure validation through testing

•  Explore new marketing channels, ad formats, and strategies while evaluating, prioritizing, and testing based on opportunity size

•  Work with design team to produce channel-appropriate campaign briefs and creative assets

•  Manage vendors for online paid channels, with a focus on Adwords and Display, as well as cut your teeth with new channels

•  Closely monitor, measure and report on acquisition marketing budget and growth through daily reporting & bid and budget optimization, and A/B testing to improve the ROI of your campaigns

Qualifications

•  4-7 years of experience in dedicated performance marketing, with a focus on AdWords and Display advertising

•  Excellent analytical skills, specifically focused on with multivariate testing and multi-touch attribution models

•  Familiarity with CPA, CPC, CPM, ARPU, and LTV

•  Ability to set goals and execute under tight deadlines

•  Startup experience, and the the ability to adapt quickly are pluses

•  Experience marketing freemium business models is preferred, especially with driving user engagement, user adoption, and revenue

•  Experience targeting multiple audiences with different use-cases through multiple channels

•  Incredibly coachable personality -- you are constantly looking for opportunities to improve your craft

•  Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
